Cleaning

Nemschoff Healthcare Wood Finish

✔  Clean with a damp cloth or mild detergent solution.

✔  We recommend full-strength or diluted glass cleaner products since they do not leave deposits that lead to surface smearing or haze. A few examples of alternative cleaners include: Bleach, Hi-Tor® Plus, Sani-Master, Ammonia, Sursan, Matar®, TOR® HB, Quat Disinfectant, ViroxTM, and Virex® CaviWipesTM. These cleaners must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and any deviation from the manufacturer’s instructions may void the warranty.

✘  Avoid chemical and/or abrasive cleaning compounds.

✘  For best results, we do not recommend brand-name furniture polishes. While they will not damage the surface, they are likely to cause smearing and haze and are therefore not recommended. Products free of wax and silicones give the best long-term results and will not create problems should the surface require refinishing or repair at a future date.

Laminate Surfaces and Powder Coating

✔  Clean with a damp cloth or mild detergent solution.

✔  A few examples of alternative cleaners include: Bleach, Ammonia, Quat Disinfectant and ViroxTM. These cleaners must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and any deviation from the manufacturer’s instructions may void the warranty.

✔  After cleaning, dampen a clean cloth with water to rinse the laminate surface, then wipe with a clean dry cloth. This step prevents cleaning agents from building up on the laminate surface, where moisture can cause them to reactivate and damage the surface.

✘ Avoid chemical or abrasive cleaning compounds.

Solid Surface

✔ Wash with a soft cloth and a mixture of a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse with warm water and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.

✔ Rinse the tabletop with warm water to remove surface dirt and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth for routine maintenance.

✔ Acid-based liquids, such as coffee, wine, and fruit juice:

– Wipe up immediately using a clean soft cloth.

– The longer a spill remains, the more difficult it will be to remove and may stain.

✘ Do not use abrasive, acid, alcohol-based, or solvent- based cleaners, they will damage the surface.

Durawrap

✔  Use a sponge or clean soft cloth with Soft-Scrub without bleach, Fantastik®, 409®, or Kleerdex Company’s Kleer Off General Purpose Cleaner.

✔  For tough marks or stains caused by spills, graffiti, heel marks, etc., apply cleaners such as Crown Anti- Vandal Spray, DWRT, Kleerdex Company’s Kleer Off Graffiti Remover, or Atlanta Sundries Goof-Off. (These are specialized cleaners that should be used for small areas only.)

✔  It may be necessary to use a short, stiff-bristled brush to remove some stains on the textured surface.

✔  After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water.

✔  For previous cleaning residue, which may be evident as soon as surface dries or over a long period of time, use a specialized cleaner such as Johnson’s Wax Step OFF.

✘ Do not use powdered cleansers or ammonia-based cleaners; they leave a residue if not properly wiped off.

Stainless Steel

✔  Clean with a damp cloth or mild detergent solution.

✔  A few examples of alternative cleaners include: Windex or other vinegar based solutions. These cleaners must be used according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and any deviation from the manufacturer’s instructions may void the warranty.

✔  After cleaning, dampen a clean cloth with water to rinse the surface, then wipe with a clean dry cloth.

✔  If there are any tea stained spots, use fine grit sandpaper or scotch briteTM pad working along the grain of the surface. Repeat initial cleaning steps.

✘ Avoid chemical or abrasive cleaning compounds.

Fabric

✔ Due to the unique properties of each upholstery material, we recommend contacting the manufacturer for safe and effective cleaning and maintenance instructions.
