NEMSCHOFF EDGES OUT COMPETITION FOR SECOND WIN AT SECOND ANNUAL WEST EDGE DESIGN SHOWCASE AND COMPETITION

Company Offers Congratulations to Design Firm Partner, Langdon Wilson

SHEBOYGAN, WI (April 11, 2005) - For more than 50 years, Nemschoff has set an industry standard of design innovation for quality healthcare furniture.  During the recent NeoCon® West tradeshow, that standard was upheld through a second win for Nemschoff at the Second Annual West Edge Design Showcase and Competition.  Nemschoff was the featured furniture manufacturer on the Healthcare team which was led by Langdon Wilson design and supported by L.E. Waters Construction, Moss, Boyd Lighting, Wilsonart, Glaspro, Inc. and USG.  Nemschoff and USG are the only team veterans from the 2004 West Edge winning team. 

Langdon Wilson designed a space with a focus on using materials to convey comfort to the patient.  Stretch fabric structures at the ceiling and vertical enclosures created individual pods for each patient.  The serenity of the space was continued through soft pastel wall colors and white fabric on the walls.  The Nemschoff Leonard II Recliner, modified for use in treatment areas, and Marco guest and lounge furniture were the featured lines of furniture in the space due to their style and purpose.  Additionally, Langdon Wilson utilized the almost limitless Nemschoff flexible fabric program to continue the feeling of luxury and comfort in the space.

The West Edge design showcase and competition provide an opportunity to Los Angeles based design firms to push the creative boundaries of room design in five distinct environments: Corporate, Healthcare, Retail, Institutional, and Hospitality.  The five design firms are then paired with a team of manufacturers and contractors to develop each distinctive space.  The five design concepts are then revealed at the NeoCon West tradeshow where they battle for the West Edge People's Choice award in the area of "most innovative environment."
