Innovative Recliner and Beautiful Lounge Chair Complement Current Offerings

SHEBOYGAN, WI (August 23, 2005) - For more than three years, Nemschoff has offered a comprehensive bariatric lounge seating collection.  Nemschoff is now introducing two new bariatric products to further enhance its existing bariatric offerings:  The Pristo® II Bariatric Recliner and the Olivia Bariatric Chair.

The Pristo® II Bariatric Recliner is engineered specifically for bariatric use with an overall weight capacity of 700 pounds and an inside seat width of 28 inches.  The recliner's back is infinitely adjustable within a limited range.  This allows for maximum patient comfort while also ensuring that the patient can sit up without assistance.  Additionally, the seat incorporates strong lumbar support.

The footrest on the Pristo® II Bariatric Recliner has three different positions, giving the patient different resting options for the legs to prevent reduced blood circulation.  When in the sitting position, the footrest is back pitched so that patients can get their feet under the chairs when they are exiting.  The handle to control the footrest is easily accessible on the outside of the chair.

Nemschoff has incorporated a slight overhang on the armrest, providing ergonomic grip support for the patient when entering and exiting the chair.  Urethane arm caps provide additional patient comfort and reduce pressure sores.

The Olivia Bariatric Chair is specifically dimensioned for comfort and ease of use for Bariatric patients.  It is certified to hold up to 1,000 pounds, virtually eliminating capacity concerns.  The Olivia Bariatric coordinates with the existing Nemschoff Olivia and Oliver product lines, offering continuity throughout an entire facility.  This chair has a 30" seat made with spring seat construction, providing comfort on a large scale.
