Waverly Health Center is a 25-bed facility located in Waverly, Iowa. The hospital is dedicated to providing quality care to residents in the rural Iowa area. To better serve the surrounding communities, Waverly decided to expand the facility and develop a state-of-the-art complex to offer patients the latest medical advances in a serene, nurturing environment.

Waverly teamed up with Nemschoff to carry out a 96,000 square foot expansion project. The expansion included the Outpatient Surgery area, Medical-Surgical rooms, and Birthing Center. The project’s architects and designers selected Nemschoff for the project for a variety of reasons, including the quality and beauty of the products, the warranty, and the ability to create the numerous custom pieces necessary for the project.

“When we began the expansion project, we knew that we wanted to ensure the areas conveyed beauty and tranquility, but we also needed them to be extremely functional. Nemschoff effortlessly provided us with both custom and standard products that gave us the highly attractive and functional environment that we desired,” stated Bridget Moroney, Interior Designer.

“Our project team made the decision to take part in a factory visit of the Nemschoff facilities in Sheboygan. From the beginning of the project we knew that Nemschoff offered a wide variety of products. They focused on our needs and were able to customize their products to meet our needs. Great customer service is something that they truly believe in and this was evident during our project,” said Brenda Poppens, Waverly Birthing Center Nurse Manager.

Custom Prague products are found throughout the three expanded areas. The products include wardrobes, headwalls, TV armoires, footwalls, bassinets, case carts and monitor carts. Complementing the custom Prague casegoods are SleepOver® sofas, Foxxman® recliners, Serenity® treatment chairs, and Cities® and Foxxman® lounge furniture. The combination of the custom-designed Prague casegoods along with the standard seating products creates a sense of continuity throughout the facility.
