Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital is
located in the city of Thousand Oaks, California, providing
care for approximately 126,000 residents. The 50,000 square
foot hospital has 21 private inpatient beds, 7 operating
rooms and places a great amount of focus on providing
exceptional care for each patient.
The Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital,
which opened in January of 2005, is jointly owned by 47
local physicians and FSC Health, Inc. The facility offers a
nurturing environment where patients, employees, and
physicians are treated as valued guests. The hospital was
designed as an advanced setting for surgical care while
offering all of the amenities of a high-end hotel.
The city of Thousand Oaks required that
the architecture be California Mediterranean in style, a
theme that was then carried throughout the interior of the
facility. The project’s architects and design team selected
Nemschoff for use in the interior for a variety of reasons,
including style and quality. Nemschoff Presidio lounge
seating, along with junior furniture can be found throughout
the Thousand Oaks lobby. "The Nemschoff products
in our lobby help to solidify the tranquil and inviting atmosphere that we had originally
envisioned; Nemschoff helped us make that vision a reality,"
said Kelly Terrell, Director of Human Resources.
Furthermore, Nemschoff products are
extremely durable which is important to the hospital staff.
"The Nemschoff Lifetime Warranty was also tremendously
important to our project staff as it gave further evidence
of the confidence that Nemschoff has in their products,"
Terrell adds.
In addition to the furniture in the front
lobby, Nemschoff Bedford Classic headboards and footboards
are used in all 21 of the patient rooms. Prísto™ recliners
and Torii bariatric seating are used throughout the
treatment areas.
"The Nemschoff team was exceptionally
easy to work with. Their products are beautiful, and their
enthusiasm and expertise helped make our project not only
fun, but also incredibly successful," commented Sonja
Sorrick, Designer from Chambers Lorenz Design Associates.
